Hello my name is Samantha Asselanis, owner of Posh Paws Grooming salon located on the Northeast side of Tucson, AZ.

After over eight years working in other peoples’ shops across the country I decided to open my own salon that combined all the best techniques, equipment, and products in the industry.  I pride myself on the quality of my work and gentle care given to each and every pet.  My goal is for every visit to be a positive and relaxed one for both you and your pet. 

I stay current in the grooming industry by attending various seminars and grooming expos held around the country.  I also participated in the Burbank, CA grooming competition last year.  I hope to compete in more competitions in the future.

I grew up in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  It was there that I first worked in grooming salons and developed my love for grooming.  After high school I attended the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point and received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology.  Shortly there after I moved to north Texas and worked at several  salons,  furthering my skills and exposing me to different ways to manage grooming salons. Three years ago I moved to sunny Tucson and began working as a groomer at a local Petco.  Within a few months a new Petco opened on the southeast side of town and I was quickly selected to become the grooming shop manager.  

Although I am grateful for that experience I became dissatisfied with the restrictions a corporation places on a grooming salon.  I wanted to open my own salon where I could use the best of everything. From premium, cruelty free shampoos to hydromassage bathing systems, to only the best and completely trained, dog-loving staff.  I want to be proud of every aspect of Posh Paws Grooming!

Posh Paws Grooming welcomes Michi Snyder (pronounced Me - She) to our salon.  Michi is orginally from Berlin, Germany.  After a successful career in Germany as both a physician's assistant and pharmaceutical representative she moved to Tucson with her husband.  It was here that she was able to turn her passion for dogs into an enjoyable career through grooming.  I personally trained Michi at our previous employer and she excelled during every step of her training.  Her innate ability to work with pets makes her a priceless asset to Posh Paws.  I am continually impressed by her patience and care she gives every furry customer.
